Brenda Carol Cooley
Mt. Pleasant - Brenda Carol Cooley, aged 76, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Friday, February 20, 2026. Born on October 3, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Webster Howell and Carolyn Baker. Brenda dedicated her professional life to her career as a Reporter/Stenographer, known for her meticulous attention to detail and steadfast dedication to her work. Before that she spent years on Broadway, New York City, working on the production of "Hair," and her most passionate hobby as a master quilter saw her work featured in magazines and garnered several awards.
Her family will gather to celebrate her life during a Funeral Service on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 2:00 PM, to be held at the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, located at 1494 Mathis Ferry Road. Entombment will follow at the Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Prior to the service, the family invites friends to join them in paying their respects at the chapel, where they will welcome visitors a half hour before the service begins.
Brenda is survived by her beloved daughter, Elizabeth; her sister, Charlene Stephenson, and her mother, Carolyn Baker Allen both of Alabaster, Alabama; grandson Andres Posada; and great granddaughters Sofia and Nova Leigh. She was preceded in death by her father, Daniel Webster Howell, daughter Ingrid Michelle Cooley, and brother Rick Howell.
Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
