Samuel David Cooley

Samuel David Cooley, age 70, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, February 23, 2026.

David was born on September 25, 1955, son of the late Sam and Senea Cooley. He was employed by UGA for 31 years and by Griffin Tech/Southern Crescent for 27 years. David was a member of the Griffin Bible Church.

Survivors include his wife, Regina Kendrick Clay Cooley; son, Sammy Cooley; granddaughters, Summer Cooley, Sunny Cooley, and Madison Cooley; great-grandson, Aston, who is on the way in March; daughter, Stephanie Harker; grandchildren, Matthew Harker, Holly Harker, and Jacob Harker (Kindyl); great-grandson, Jackson "Little Babe" Harker; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Ann Whitehurst (Mike), Cindy Ramsey (Ricky), and Pallie Schmalz (Edward); brothers and sisters-in-law, Ricky Kendrick (Kathy), Rhonda Standard, Keith Kendrick, Pam Head (Walter), and Rex Kendrick; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be on Thursday, February 26, 2026, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Friday, February 27, 2026, in the funeral home chapel. Pastor John Sweatte will officiate. Interment will follow at 12:30 pm at Eastlawn Memorial Park, 640 McGarity Rd, McDonough, GA 30252.
