Daniel Creed Coffey, "Danny", went to be with the Lord on February 22, 2026 in Mountain City, GA, at the age of 49. Danny was born on December 8, 1976 in Gainesville, GA to Creed and Joanne Coffey (Houston) of Hiawassee, GA. Danny had deep Appalachian roots and was raised in the mountains of North Georgia. He loved mountain life and was an avid outdoorsman. Danny graduated from Rabun County High School and attended the University of Georgia in Athens, GA. He was a member of his high school and college drama clubs and honed his skills as a musician and entertainer. He played several musical instruments and sang in many plays and musicals in his youth.
Danny was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served his country as a civil engineer in Iraq during operation Iraqi Freedom. He later followed a career in the hospitality industry, working in the mountains he loved. Danny was full of life and laughter to all who knew him. He loved to travel and he took many trips here and abroad with his brother Don. He was a follower of Jesus Christ and a member of the Roman Catholic faith.
Danny is preceded in death by his father Creed Coffey and sister Gina Coffey, his grandparents Luther and Marybelle Coffey of Marble, NC, Don and Wilma McKillip of Mt. Pleasant, MI and nephew Jeff Hall of Albuquerque, NM.
Danny is survived by his mother Joanne Houston of Mountain City GA, his brother Don Hall (Denise) of Marble NC, his sister Lisa Hardin of Marble NC and his many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
A celebration of life for Daniel Creed Coffey will be announced at a later date.
