Nathan Edward Linn Lyons

Nathan Edward Linn Lyons passed away on 02/18/26 at the age of 37 in Chattanooga, TN

He resided in Ringgold, GA.

He was born on 04/24/1988 at Tri-County Hospital in Ft. Oglethorpe GA to the parents Kelly and Sherry (Helmes) Lyons.

He was of the Baptist faith where his membership was at Westside Missionary Baptist Church.

He was a graduate of Ringgold High School in 2006. He graduated in the top 25% of his class with honors.

He was an active member of ROTC where he earned a full scholarship to the University of Georgia in Dahlonega, Georgia.

His favorite hobbies were Baseball, Basketball but his true passion was playing Chess. He also volunteered at the Ringgold Animal Shelter while in his teens.

He is survived by Daughter Baylee Lyons, Mother Sherry (Brian) Lyons, Brothers Jason Lyons, and Dustin Hughes (Destiny), Grandparents Joan (Steve) LaFerry, Eddie (Shannon) Helmes, Aunt Angela (Cliff) Helmes, and Uncle Cody Peters.

Preceded in death by Kelly Lyons (Father), Brandon Helmes (Uncle). Great grandparents Frank and Gladys (Waters) Helmes, Ed and Juanita Jackson, Jerry Nat Lyons, and Linda Peters.

Funeral services will be held at Wilson Funeral Home Wallis-Stewart Chapel, 443 Boynton Drive, Ringgold, Georgia on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, 2 p.m. with Pastor Larry Hollifield officiating. Interment will follow at Anderson Memorial Garden. Pallbearers will be Jason Lyons, Dustin Hughes, Brian Hughes, David Dowden, and Michael Ward. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 from 5-8 p.m.
