Bettye Joyce Foster Holcomb, 91, of Ringgold went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 7, 2026. She was a native of
Ringgold, Georgia, a daughter of the late Wallace C. Foster and Vera L. Meredith Foster. She was a graduate of Ringgold High School and Edmondson Business School. She had worked in the banking industry before working with Southern Railroad. She was a life-long resident of Catoosa County and a 70 year member of Burning Bush Baptist Church. Bettye was a member of the Gleaners Sunday School Class, The Christine Garrett Circle and The Prime Time Choir. She and her husband started Holcomb Farm and Garden Center and Holcomb Florist which later become Holcomb Garden Center in Fort Oglethorpe and Hixson. Bettye worked active in the business for more than 50 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Holcomb Sr. and they wed on January 31st, 1958; a son, William Clinton Holcomb, Jr.
Survivors include her sons, Timothy Wayne (Susie) Holcomb, Rodney (Pam) Holcomb; daughter-in-law, Kathy Holcomb; grandchildren, Valerie (Austin) McNulty, Will (Ginny) Holcomb, Austin (Megan) Holcomb, Sterling Holcomb, Emily (Max) Cordell, Sara (Cody) Wilson; great-grandchildren, Max and Deacon McNulty, Bauer, Rowan, Corrie Holcomb, Felix Holcomb, Tucker and Parker Wilson; along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Sunday at the Burning Bush Baptist Church with Reverend Dennis McNulty, Austin Holcomb and Grace Davis officiating. Interment in the Burning Bush Baptist Church Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends 4-8 PM Saturday at Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory, Battlefield Parkway and the body will lie in state 1:30-2:30 PM Sunday at the church.
