Gary W Lyons Sr.

Gary W. Lyons, Sr., 74, of Shenango Township passed away the morning of February 22, 2026 at UPMC Jameson Hospital.

Gary was born in Ellwood City on December 24, 1951 to the late, Clarence and Sylvia Lyons. He later married his beloved wife; Diana Lyons and they shared over 50 wonderful years together. She survives at home.

Gary worked for many years as a Foreman at the New Castle Foundry. He was an avid Steelers fan, enjoyed working on cars and making lasting memories with his children while camping every summer. Gary could often be found on the sideline assisting his son with coaching football or keeping stats during basketball season. Most of all he enjoyed the time he spent with family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Gary is survived by five children, Dee Lyons (Joe Stitt), Gary Lyons, Jr. (Melissa), Jamie Lyons (Donny Yeany), Jason Lyons (Jennie), and Louis Brown (Chrissy); brother, Ronald Lyons; three sisters, Donna Beeler, Brenda Cooper, and Nora Ashton; and nine grandchildren, Alexa and Nicholas Lyons, Jaydon and Emily Yeany, Kenzie and Vinnie Lyons, and Ava, Louis, and Nathan Brown.

In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by three brothers, Leroy, James, and Fred Lyons; and six sisters, Marie Fostik, Geneva Yhelka, Loretta Burns, Margaret Disman, Bonnie, Wanda, and Mable Lyons.

In keeping with his wishes there are no services. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home, 941 S. Mill St.
