Tommy Earl Dean, age 79, of Milner, Georgia, departed this life on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, surrounded by love and comfort at his residence. Born in Griffin, Georgia, on March 16, 1946, to the late William Luther Dean, Tommy spent his formative years in the warmth of the Peach State, growing into a man of strength and character.

Tommy's journey through life was marked by the love he had for his family and the open road. For many years, he served as a dedicated driver for Edges Transport, where he was known for his reliability and friendly demeanor. Upon retirement, Tommy did not hang up his keys but instead continued to embrace his passion for riding motorcycles and traversing the vast expanses of the country, always in search of new adventures and experiences.

A devout member of West Sunny Side Church, Tommy was a man of faith whose actions reflected the compassion and generosity taught in the scriptures. He was, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a word of encouragement.

Preceding him in death were his father, William Luther Dean; his beloved son, Shannon Dean; his brothers, Ronnie Dean and Billy Dean; and his sister, Margina Dean. His passing marks the sunset of a life lived with purpose and joy, and his memory will be cherished in the hearts of all who knew him.

Tommy is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Janie Dean. Their enduring love and partnership were the bedrock of their family. He leaves behind his daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Larry Manley of Zebulon, whose lives were deeply enriched by his guidance and love. His legacy continues through his grandchildren and their spouses, Matthew and Amanda Manley of Concord, Benjamin and Nicole Manley of Zebulon, Sabrina Myers of Tampa, Florida, and Makalee and Jonathan Corbitt of Williamson. Tommy took immense pride in his great-grandchildren, Karter, Owen, Cason, Corbin, Jensen, Miles, Jaylynn, Olivia, Oliver, and Tatum, whose achievements and milestones brought him great joy.

He also leaves behind his mother, Betty Wood of Florida, who instilled in him the values of kindness and resilience. His brothers and sister-in-law, Barry and Gail Dean of Florida and Rick Dean of New Mexico, along with numerous nieces and nephews, will remember Tommy for his humor, wisdom, and the unwavering support he provided to his extended family.

The family will receive friends and loved ones for visitation on Friday, February 20, 2026, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A celebration of Tommy's life and faith will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel, where stories of his life's journey will be shared and his spirit honored.

Tommy Dean's life was a testament to the beauty of a life well-lived, the impact of a kind word, and the enduring strength of family bonds. His passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his memory will serve as a guiding light for all who were fortunate enough to have known him. Rest in peace, Tommy, until we meet again.
