Gary Arnell Palmer, age 85, of Milner, Georgia, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Wellstar Spalding Hospital.

Gary was born in Richton, Mississippi on December 17, 1940. His parents, Oscar Palmer and Verlie Mae Hinton Palmer; wife, Clara Nell Peek Palmer; and siblings, Mary Louise James, Virgil Palmer, Melvin Palmer, Marvin Palmer, Marlene Hosea, and Cecil Brugato, all preceded him in death. Gary was a proud veteran of the United States Marines, having served in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was also a very active as a member of the College Park Masonic Lodge, KCCH Scottish Rite Valley of Atlanta, Fayetteville Chapter, Fayetteville Council, Coeur de Lion Commandery, and Cherokee Rose Priory KYCH.

Survivors include his daughter, Deborah Jenkins of Milner; grandchildren, Jessica and Jesse Gentry of McDonough and Matt and Holly Jenkins of Barnesville; 3 great-grandchildren, Ridge, Rip, and Rush; sister, Gayle Russell; brother, W.D. Palmer; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.
