Brenda Lee Grantham, a beloved mother, grandmother, wife, and sister, passed away peacefully at home on August 25, 2025, in Wiggins, MS, surrounded by her loved ones. Born on April 2, 1967, in Hattiesburg, MS, Brenda's life was a testament to unwavering love, compassion, and dedication.
A proud graduate of Stone High School, Brenda furthered her education at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, where she cultivated a passion for learning and growth. Her life was marked by her unconditional support as a hands-on mother and devoted family member, embodying the spirit of nurturing that defined her life.
Brenda's warmth and caring nature extended beyond her immediate family. She was recognized as the strongest advocate for mental health, ensuring that everyone around her felt seen and heard. Her kindness, non-judgmental outlook, and profound empathy made a lasting impact on those fortunate to know her.
Family was the center of Brenda’s world. She deeply cherished her husband, Wayne Grantham of Wiggins, and their bonds only grew stronger as they took care of each other throughout their years together. Brenda was immensely proud of her children: Matthew Saucier of Wiggins, Katelynn Grantham, Brandy Roper of Laurel, and Jonathon Grantham with Ashley of Oxford. Her joy was multiplied by her four grandchildren, Molly, Grant, Carleigh, and Brantle, for whom she lived wholeheartedly, always eager to share stories about them with those around her.
Brenda had a unique ability to bring people together through shared experiences. She relished classic black and white movies, enjoying the nostalgia and laughter they brought to her family gatherings. Her love for Disney was especially notable, as she looked forward to future trips with her family to create more cherished memories.
In addition to her family, Brenda leaves behind her joyous hobbies, which included spending precious time with her grandchildren and her beloved dogs. Her genuine love for life and the people she cared about shone brightly and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Brenda is survived by her devoted husband, Wayne Grantham; her children, Matthew Saucier, Katelynn Grantham, Brandy Roper, and Jonathon Grantham with Ashley; her four grandchildren; and her surviving family members who carry on her legacy of love and compassion. She is preceded by Donald Roper (father), Sue Roper (mother), Jenny Roper (sister), Theresa Roper (sister), and Brandon Roper (nephew).
