Brenda Sue Jackson, 63, of Hendersonville, North Carolina, passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 15, 2025.

Born into a loving family, she was the cherished daughter of the late Floyd J. King and Hazel Mae King. She was also preceded in death by her stepbrother, Floyd Anthony King.

Brenda faced more medical challenges than most-surviving a non-cancerous brain tumor over a decade ago and living with ongoing health limitations throughout her life. Yet she met every struggle with extraordinary strength, grace, and unwavering love for those around her. A woman of sincere faith, Brenda was saved and lived her life committed to the Lord. She passed that faith on to her son, teaching him godly principles that continue to guide him today. Her greatest joy was being a mother and grandmother, roles she embraced wholeheartedly.

She is survived by her devoted son, Dustan Scott "Cody" Jackson, and her adored grandson, Jesse James Jackson. Brenda's memory will also live on through her three sisters: Cathy (Gary) McCullough, Sharon (Wendell) Simmons, and Debbie (Gary) Price. She is further survived by her stepbrother Gary J. King, and stepsisters Carol A. King and Kathy King, as well as many nieces and nephews who treasured her deeply.

Brenda also leaves behind extended family members who were a meaningful part of her life, including John (Penny) Erwin.

Brenda's legacy is one of resilience, compassion, faith, and a gentle spirit that will continue to shine in the lives of all who loved her. She will be forever missed and lovingly remembered.
