Brenda Lee Lyons, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home on May 17, 2024, after bravely facing cancer with grace and resilience, she never despaired. The youngest of two children, Brenda was born in Denton, Texas, to Joseph Pitt and Gertrude "Trudy" Gordan.
She will be remembered as a woman of unwavering faith, whose kindness and compassion touched the lives of all who knew her.
Brenda is survived by her devoted husband of 38 years, James William "Jim" Lyons; cherished daughter, Leanne Marie Nassoy, husband Shane; beloved son, Kyle Don Lovelady, wife Kelli; adored grandchildren; Rachel Marie, husband Sidney; Jared Shane, husband Johnny; Haylee Faye, wife Lauren; Jack Kyle; and Josilyn Lee, husband Dylan; treasured great-grandchildren, Hadley Jaymes, Rhett Augustine, and Scout Elizabeth; loving sister, Jo Ann Dement; niece, Connie Lynn; nephew, Larry Chris; step-daughters, Melanie Ann Hackenberg, Hollie Denise Lyons and Karie Beth Collins, and a host of dear friends.
Sweetheart, Honey, Bren, Mom, our precious Memaw, you're now walking with Jesus. You were compassionate and helpful to all, a doting mother, a loving wife, and an adored grandmother. We are blessed to have experienced life with you and will miss you deeply.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 25th, at 2:00 pm at Georgetown Baptist Church, where Brenda found solace, fellowship, and community. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Brenda's memory to Four Rivers Outreach (https://fourivers.org/), an organization dear to her heart for its dedication and rehabilitation of those with addictions.

What to say about how a special woman like Brenda that God lent us all for a little while, who is now in the loving arms of her Father in Heaven and Savior. She lived every day like Jesus was coming back that very day. Always a smile and a huge heart for everyone she met.

We shall miss her presence here, but are so glad she was saved by God's Grace and has everlasting life with Him. Keep your eyes on the sky.
