Ruth Anne Wilcox, age 70, of Sherman Texas, was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 27, 2026, surrounded by family, while residing at Focused Care of Sherman, Texas.

Ruth, known as Annie McCaleb to friends and family, was born Ruth Ann Hatfield on July 19,1955, in Dallas, Tx, the daughter of late Matilda (Tillie) Haynes Hatfield and late William Henry Hatfield, also of Dallas.

Annie grew up in California with 5 siblings and a mostly single mother. By 13 she was modeling and by 15 an accident cut her modeling career short. She married Jack L McCaleb in 1974 and had 3 children. She wore many different hats over the years, including busy homemaker who became an avid health and nutrition layman. She dabbled in different small business ventures from Cocker Spaniel breeding to her favorite and most constant love - interior decorating. She lived all over the Pacific Northwest and finally returned to Texas in 2000, where she remained. The two divorced around 2007, and Annie went on to become a holiday designer in Dallas. She eventually moved to North Texas, where she lived out her days in Whitesboro, then Gainesville. In 2018 she rededicated her life to Christ and was baptized at a Baptist church in Gainesville. In late 2021 she was admitted into Focused Care, and she remained in their care until her passing.

Annie is survived by her children; Leigh Anna McCaleb Moreno of Bryan county, Ok; Patrick Clay McCaleb, and his wife Catherina Valdez McCaleb of Lewis County, Wa; Jonathan Michael McCaleb, and his wife Angel Marie Morrissey McCaleb, of Tarrant County Tx, and 6 grandchildren; Christian Israel Moreno, of Bryan County Ok, Jonathan Speed McCaleb, of Tarrant County Tx, Raillon Dash McCaleb, of Tarrant County Tx, Patrick Josiah McCaleb, of Lewis County Wa, Gavin Clay McCaleb, of Lewis County Wa, and Angela Marie Paul of Clark County, Wa.

She is preceded in death by both parents, nephew Christopher Daharsh, nephew David Deryk Herron, niece Marissa Barron, and siblings David Wayne Hatfield, William Blaine Baird and Lonnie Jack Daharsh.

Annie's favorite place to spend Christmas time with her family was the Bavarian Village in Leavenworth, Washington. Her ashes will be spread there by her children.
