Brenda Sue "Lamb" Morris

Brenda Sue "Susie Lamb" Morris, 65, of Galesburg, died Sunday, March 29, 2026, in OSF St. Mary Medical Center.

She was born March 7, 1961, in Galesburg, the daughter of Clarence and Velma N. (Powell) Lamb Sr. She married Lawrence Micheal Morris Sr. on January 21, 1978, in Galesburg.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Lawrence; a son, Mike (Amanda) Morris of Illinois and Arkansas; a daughter, Terry (Rob) Hendrickson of Stronghurst; grandchildren, Alexis, Dylan, Kaitlyn, Brandon, Adam, Emily, Desteny, and P.J., who she and Lawrence raised as a son; great grandchildren, Mira, Jasmine, Remington, Sophia, Callaway, Maverick, Lanie, and a great granddaughter on the way; sisters, Cheryl (Charlie) Tucker, Carol (Charles) Courson, Helen (Ralph) Johnson, and Marvena Neeley; brothers, Jiggs (Lacey) Lamb and Jim (Dawn) Lamb; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Chester Morris on December 23, 1982; a granddaughter, Desire McGlown in January 2004; and two brothers.

Brenda was a homemaker. She also babysat children in her home in her younger years. She enjoyed camping, computers, crocheting and needlework; and watching demo derbies. Brenda's favorite activity was spending time with her kids and grandkids.

Cremation will be accorded. Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, April 10, 2026, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral and Cremation Services. A celebration of life will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the family home, 824 Avenue A. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
