Brenda Sell Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home - Clinton on Dec. 19, 2025.
Brenda Gail Sell, 75, of Calhoun, Missouri passed away Thursday, December 18, 2025 at her home with her family by her side. She was born May 24, 1950 in Smithville, MO the daughter of Clifford Gardner and Beatrice Nadine (Moulder) Gardner.
She was united in marriage to Robert "Bob" Sell on March 24, 1967 in Clinton, MO. They were married 56 years until his passing on November 27, 2022.
Brenda helped at Brush Creek Ranch alongside Bob for many years. She had also worked at the Windsor Shoe Factory, and following her many years at Brush Creek she went to work at Wal-Mart in the deli department for several years. She made many lifelong friends while working. She loved being outdoors and spending time with her family. She was a member of Parks Chapel Baptist Church. Brenda enjoyed cooking, baking candy and coffee cakes. She loved to travel with Bob and her sister and brothers and sisters in law to different states and casinos. She loved pickle loaf so we enjoyed our drives to Versailles getting pickle loaf sandwiches. Brenda loved spending time with her great-granddaughter, Hadlee. She enjoyed drives to Kansas to visit her brother and his family. Her illness ended her trips that she so enjoyed. Brenda loved collecting roosters. She always thought she just needed one more. She could never have enough.
Surviving are her daughter, Sheri Sell; sons, Dwayne Sell (Deb), and Travis Sell (Misty); seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Rodney Gardner (Kim); one sister, Connie Clancey (Bill); and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Mary Winters.
A promise was made to Bob to take care of Mom without having to place her into a facility. We kept that promise. Sheri cared for both parents, spending 24/7 with Brenda following Bob's passing. She and Mom had so much fun just doing the little things in life.
A Celebration of Life will be Friday, December 26, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home. The family suggests memorial contributions to assist with funeral expenses.
