Brenda Gail Shrum (née Henson), of Fults, IL, passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at the age of 84. She is survived by her daughters, Debra (Tim) McClurg, Robyn (David) Starkey, Regina (Jim) Fite, and Laurie Shrum; grandchildren, Chad McClurg, Alex (Marji) Starkey, Emma (John) Kreifels, Kenan (Brandy) Starkey, Amber (Jordan) Chubb, Colin (Amanda Downs) Shrum, Camryn (Kelsi) Fite, Jason Milner, Brandy Fite, Scarlet “Kate” Fite, and Yvonne Fite; and great-grandchildren, Genevieve, Hailey, Sadie, Shelby, Kobey, Parker, Piper, Jaylee, Marlee, Wyatt, Theo, Colter, Asher, and Ace. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Troy Shrum, and was preceded in death by her beloved husband of nearly 60 years, Loy S. Shrum, and her parents, Harry and Vera Henson.
Brenda was a sweet and stylish woman who enjoyed bowling, shopping, cruises, and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. A devoted Christian, she loved the Lord and often shared her faith with others. She especially cherished being a mother to her daughters. In her later years, she found peace living in the country. Brenda was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Memorials may be made in Brenda's name to National Breast Cancer Foundation.
