Brenda Joyce (Porter) Sipple, 73 of Central City/Slab Town, Logan, WV went to her heavenly home to be reunited with her husband, Billy on their wedding anniversary, Tuesday, November 11, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born November 29, 1951, at Logan to the late Howard and Rema (Music) Porter. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Billy Ray Sipple, and her brother, Harold Porter.
Brenda was a 1969 graduate of Logan High School. Later she owned and operated local DanTax and Jackson Hewitt Tax Service franchises. She enjoyed shopping, traveling, and being in the presence of her grandkids. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was happiest spending her time with and cherishing her family and friends.
Those left to love and carry on her memory are her sons, Billy (Angie) Sipple, and Josh Sipple; daughter, Valerie (Jeremiah) Carter; grandchildren, Ally (Derek) Wellman, Abby (Tyler) Bowen, Raylee Sipple, Jeremiah Ethan Carter, Jasmine Carter, and Trenton Sipple; great-grandchildren, Parker Bowen, Jack Bowen, Sonny Bowen, Colton Sipple, and Magnolia Wellman; sisters, Donna (Porter) Burress, Lillian Smith Richards, and Teresa Hensley. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.
Brenda lived a full life and will be irrevocably missed by all who knew and loved her. She will be remembered for her devotion to God, her family, and her friends. Brenda was a devout Christian who had expressed her readiness to go be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, November 14, 2025 at Akers-James Funeral Home with Rev. Charlie Abraham officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Chapmanville. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Bryan Blevins, Chris Gent, Jason Wilcox, Michael Stallard, Donny Burress, and Travis McCallister.
