Brenda G. Weaver, age 62, of Natchitoches, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Willis-Knighton Hospital in Shreveport.
Brenda was a graduate of Natchitoches Central High School. In 1981, she began dating Terry Weaver of Natchitoches, LA and in 1983, they married. She became a mother instantly then to Heather and Jamison. In 1986, Brenda gave birth to a set of twins, David and Ashley. Brenda began her career as an assistant in the Natchitoches Parish school system. She retired in 2021 from a 40 year career primarily in the child support system.
She was a breast cancer survivor.
She could find any excuse to go shopping and loved to find a great bargain. She was extremely fond of front porch visiting with neighbors, walking with her friend Anna, eating really good food, and playing with her grandbabies.
She had a very generous, giving heart and always put the needs of others before her own.
Brenda was preceded in death by her stepmother, Diane Buzbee.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Terry Weaver; their four children, Heather McMichael (Joshua), Jamison Weaver (Tanya), David Weaver (Sarah), and Ashley Weaver (fiance’, Jody Ezernack); her many grandchildren; her father Benny Buzbee; her mother Bobbie Jewell; her siblings, Benita, Paul, Chris, Stacy, and Michele; her numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 from 5 PM until 8 PM.
