Funeral Services for Mr. Brenford Earl Davidson, age 77 of Delta, will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Bethel Baptist Church (North) with Pastor James Benefield officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.

Brenford passed away on August 26, 2025 peacefully at his home following a brief illness. He is joyously united in Heaven with Patsy, Tammy, and his parents. Brenford was born on October 17, 1947 in Wedowee, Alabama, but has resided in Clay County since the age of eight. He was the oldest of four sons born to Earl and Laverne (Holloway) Davidson. He graduated from Lineville High School in 1967 where he excelled in football and met the love of his life, Patsy (Gallegly). They dated for 3 years before marrying on April 5, 1967 and they enjoyed 55 years of marriage before her passing in April of 2022.

Brenford worked in the manufacturing industry his entire life. He began his career working at Lee Brass in Anniston before working at Ace Products rubber plant for over 35 years until his retirement in January of 2007.He prided himself on his work ethic and worked hard his entire life to ensure a good life for his beloved wife, Patsy and their four girls. Brenford enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding around in his old '92 Toyota truck to visit friends and family. He also enjoyed history and watching anything about history or Westerns. There was no bigger fan of Auburn football and he a looked forward to watching the college football season every year.

Brenford was the father of four girls: Jo Davidson Dusault (Allen) of Libertyville, Illinois, Delaina Davidson Bachus (Charles, who passed in 2022), Kristi Davidson-Yates (Rawn), both of Delta, and Tammy Davidson Turley (Jerry) of Heflin, who passed away in October 2006. He adored his five grandchildren: Jeremy Turley of Lincoln, Jessica Hindman (Ray) of Eastaboga, Jodi Turley of Lincoln, Jacob Bachus (Madelyn) of Weaver, and Bryce Dusault of Libertyville, Illinois. He loved attending their sporting events as they grew up, and was often in his yard playing ball, with them instilling his competitive nature. He was Paw Paw to his 3 great-grandchildren: Paisley, Bailey, and Kinsley, who all thought the sun rose with their beloved "Paw Paw". He was looking forward to welcoming his fourth great-grandchild, Roman Bachus in January of 2026. He is also survived by three brothers: Steve Davidson (Candy) of Delta, Donald Davidson(Hope who passed in March 2024) of Wedowee, and Ricky Davidson (Patty) of Delta along with several nieces and nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Gallegly Davidson; daughter, Tammy Davidson Turley: his beloved mother, Laverne Holloway Davidson; his father, William Earl Davidson; son in law, Charles Bachus, and his sister-in-law, Hope Hudson Davidson.
