Brent E. Lane

Brent Edward Lane, 68, of Bristol passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2026. He was born on June 21, 1957 in Bristol, son of the late John Lane and Rena (Coulthard) Lane.

Brent was a kind soul who was loved by those whose lives he touched. A printer by trade, Brent started work as a pressman at the Bristol Press, where he frequently pulled strings to put his children in the paper, to their great delight. Brent was definitely a "horse of a different color", marching to his own beat and enjoying himself along the way. He loved his music and would gladly talk about 'Carbon Leaf', his favorite band. He was proud of his left-handedness, and was a proficient author of innumerable tomes, a source of immense pride for Brent. He wrote these stories for the people he loved, friends, his sons, and eventually his granddaughters, who were his greatest source of pride.

Brent loved spending time with his friends at "Downtown" and on the golf course. He is the proud owner of 2 holes in one and loved his annual trips to Cape Cod.

Brent is survived by his sons Jason Lane and his wife Bethany of MA, James Lane and his wife Kari of FL; grandchildren Emma and Carly and 7 siblings.

Brent is predeceased by his brother Gary Lane.

Services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
