Mr. Brent Leslie Yeomans

Brent Yeomans of Calgary, Alberta passed away at Sarcee Care West on June 29, 2023 at the age of 68 years. Brent is survived by the love of his life for 28 years Cindy, his chosen daughter Tonya and grandchildren Cienna and Ryder. Brent was born in Moose Jaw Saskatchewan and was the 2nd eldest son of Robert and Barbara Yeomans.
Brent was a gentle caring soul who touched the lives of everyone he met through his wonderful sense of humour and compassionate manner. Life was not an easy one for him as he struggled with a neurological disorder that was not diagnosed until it began to take over physically and mentally later in life.
Brent was blessed with two children, Heather and Grant, whom he never stopped loving despite their estrangement at a young age.
Brent and I met in Jan 1989 and the attraction was instantaneous. He loved my daughter as his own and became her "Dad" and later "Grampa" to Cienna and Ryder. During our years together we were fortunate to fill our lives with many wonderful friends whom he cherished greatly. The fun times had at the Grove with the gang, to our travels to the World Juniors with fellow Destiny hockey fans and most definitely our time residing within an amazing community on Highview Point where we were blessed with dear friends and not just neighbours. A big part of his life was our dear friend Lenora with whom a constant bantering back and forth with loving insults was the norm and most definitely our trips to his favourite weekend spot at the cottage with Judi and Ray while in Nova Scotia...a place he loved dearly. The family reunion during Stampede also created many lasting memories along with teasing and inside jokes for years to follow.
Brent was forever grateful for the tremendous care and outpouring of support that he received from Tonya who made sure to always be there for him. He was eternally grateful that she sacrificed so much to make sure that he was comfortable and surrounded by love in his final stages.
A Celebration of Brent's Life will be held at the High River United Church with the details outlined at a later date. In lieu of flowers Brent would have preferred donations be made to Heaven Can Wait in High River.
In memory of Brent feel free to enjoy a rye/pepsi and say a little prayer in his honour...I know he is smiling down on all of us.
