Bret Ronald Pienkosz, 67, of Clinton Township, Michigan, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on October 17, 2025.
Born on August 5, 1958, in Detroit, Michigan, Bret was the beloved son of the late Barbara and Ronald Pienkosz. He was a proud graduate of Michigan State University and dedicated 45 years to the commercial roofing industry, where he was deeply respected and cherished by colleagues and friends alike.
Bret’s career took him to St. Louis, Missouri, where fate introduced him to the love of his life, Dianna, in 1981. The two married in 1982 and went on to build a beautiful life together, raising their two children in a home filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable memories.
Bret enjoyed camping, boating, sports, concerts, and—above all—spending time with his family. His sense of humor, kind heart, and generosity touched everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dianna; his children, Michael (Ashleigh) and Kristi (Eric); and his two adored grandchildren, Brynlee and Bowen. He also leaves behind his grand pups Laney, Mr. Benson, Dega, Georgia Blu, and Hattrick; and his siblings Andrea (Ron) and Craig (Lisa).
Bret was preceded in death by his parents, Barbara (2024) and Ronald (2019).
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Bret will be remembered for his compassion, his unwavering positivity, and the countless friendships he built throughout his life.
