Brett Elmer Lembke, 60 of Elgin, Iowa passed away Monday, February 3, 2025 at his home. Brett was born in Postville, IA on August 9, 1964 to Earl and Joan (Friederich) Lembke. He graduated from Valley High School with the class of 1983 and attended tech school to earn his Master Mechanic Degree.
Brett worked as a Diesel Mechanic for twenty-five years at Ziegler/ Cat in Postville, Iowa. He was also a volunteer Fire Fighter for the Elgin Fire department. Brett enjoyed mushroom hunting, deer hunting, riding his Harley and being around people.
Surviving Brett are his children, Mason Lembke of Clermont, Iowa, Luke Lembke of Elgin, Iowa and Kayla (Ashley) Garrison of Waterloo, Iowa; six grandchildren, Khloe, Parker, Johnathon, Hailee, Nolan and Lawson; his parents, Earl (Bonnie) Lembke and Joan (Virgil) Henry; siblings, Randy (Kathy) Clark, Melinda (Bruce) Zeller, Teresa (Randy) Loftsgard and Kevin (Renae) Lembke.
Preceding Brett in death were his grandparents, Elmer and Carrie Lembke and Ernest and Florence Friederich.
Celebration of life will be held at the Elgin Legion Hall on Saturday February 15, 2025 from 1pm – 4pm.
Leonard-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Elgin, Iowa is assisting the family with arrangements.
