Brett E Warriner, 61, of Oswego, IL peacefully passed away unexpectedly from a sudden illness, surrounded by those he loved and who loved him dearly, on June 18, 2025 at Rush Copley Medical center.

Brett was always an avid sports fan and loved to surf in his younger days as well as play hockey. He was a diehard fan of the LA Rams, LA Dodgers, and the Colorado Avalanche. Throughout his adult life, he loved to play golf where he was a member of the senior league at Blackberry Oaks Golf Course in Bristol, IL for the past 4 years. He made several amazing friends who were there for him until the very end. Brett made his way to IL from the West Coast just prior to Covid where he met his girlfriend of the last 5+ years who also enjoyed playing golf with him, going to concerts, and simply being together doing nothing.

Brett was born in Hollywood, CA and attended Downey High School. He played sports his entire childhood along with his 3 brothers. Brett was the third son of four and always stood up for his younger brother Sean who had an inseparable bond until the very end. Brett moved around CA a bit and then made his way to AZ, NV, CO, and finally to IL. Brett was full of humor, laughter, shenanigans, and had a heart of gold. He was a fighter and stood up for what he believed in….he fought for 3.5 days after being taken off life support….just in perfect "Brett fashion".

Brett is survived by his girlfriend Patti Michels who stood by him through thick and thin and loved him beyond words, his brothers Sean (Karen) Warriner, Mark (Janet) Warriner, and Paul Warriner, two sons Bryce and Brandon Warriner, and a niece and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Virginia Warriner as well as his "Nana" and "Poppy" Paul and Mary Campbell…as well as several friends.

We will have a small celebration of life at a later date where we can all raise a glass to a man who will be dearly missed by many.
