Brian Gregory Anderson, 62, of Mason, Illinois, passed from this life and went to be with his Lord on January 27, 2025, at St. Anthony's Hospital in Effingham.
Funeral service will be at 11:30 AM on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Mason Christian Church with a visitation from 9:00 AM until the time of service. Mark White and Jason Williams will be officiating. Interment will be at Leith Cemetery in Mason, Illinois. Memorials may go to Mason Christian Church or the donor's choice.
Brian was born on November 2, 1962, in Effingham, Illinois to Floyd and Betty (Cameron) Anderson. He married his sweetheart Denise on September 8, 1984, in Effingham, Illinois.
Brian was a devoted member of Mason Christian Church where he served as Deacon, Trustee, and Treasurer for over 30 years. He truly had a servant's heart and loved serving the Lord at Mason alongside his wife Denise and members of their church family. He was the smiling face at the door for the community breakfasts held at the church during the year. He enjoyed planting and tending his garden each year. He was a great cook who most often did not use a recipe. He could fix almost anything and had a talent for remodeling. He was co-owner of PRO Acoustics for many years until his retirement, installing acoustic ceiling tiles in commercial buildings and homes. He told many that his official job now was "house husband". He enjoyed traveling and he and Denise looked forward to their annual trips to the Great Smoky Mountains, their favorite place. He was a thoughtful, loving, devoted husband and best friend to her for over 40 years. He had a kind and generous spirit, always putting others first. He loved his family and friends deeply and will be dearly missed.
Brian is survived by his loving wife Denise Anderson, as well as his siblings Douglas Anderson (wife Dorene), John Anderson (wife Kelly), and Angie Ingram (husband Greg), as well as mother-in-law Arlene Adamson, brother-in-law Kent Robinson (wife Barb), and sister-in-law Lynette Adamson (fiancé Paul LeBeau), plus many nieces and nephews.
Brian was preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Betty Anderson, as well as his brother James Dean Anderson, who died in infancy, and father-in-law Denzel Adamson.
I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength. - Philippians 4:13
