Brian Lester Beard, 44, left this world peacefully on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at his home in Shreveport, Louisiana with his family by his side.

Brian was born in Willingboro, New Jersey on June 23, 1979, to Beauford “Billy” Beard and Susan “Sue” Lanigan Gable. He was the youngest child and the only son to Billy and Sue. Brian attended Southwood High School in Shreveport, LA. He had a long career in floor installation and tile and stone setting. He later found a second career in car and RV sales. Brian was known for his giving nature, his uniquely brash sense of humor, and his fierce love and dedication to his family and friends. To be considered a friend to Brian was to be considered family. Brian was an avid pool player and loved to fish.

Brian is preceded in death by his grandparents, Lester Beard, Amilee Beard, John Lanigan, and Juanita Cantrel; his uncles, Kevin Lanigan, Michael Lanigan, and Richard Beard; and his aunt, Patricia Campbell. He is survived by his children, Brian Beard and wife, Lexi, and Dawson Beard; his father, Billy Beard; mother, Sue Gable and her husband, Michael Gable; his sister, Kelly Tyner; his grandchildren, Cora and Aster Beard; his nephews, Lanigan Tyner, Lake Tyner, and Cian Cotton; his niece, Mikal Tyner; as well as several uncles, aunts, and cousins.

The family would like to thank Christie Rawlings, Amanda Lindberg, and Courtney Gregory from Amedisys Hospice Care for the compassionate care that they provided to Brian in his last months of life. In such a difficult time, they were a constant.

There will be a visitation at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home at 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, LA 71118 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 10, 2023.
