Brian Allen Capaci, a loving father, grandfather, son, and brother, lived his life with an adventurous and faith-filled spirit. Born on March 25, 1967, in Elgin, IL, Brian brought joy, laughter, and motivation to everyone who knew him. On April 18, 2023, Brian passed away suddenly in Antioch, IL, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and inspiration.
Brian is survived by his children: Kylie (Tyler) Burns, Olivia Capaci, Joseph Capaci, and Steven Capaci; grandchildren: Peyten Burns, Raelynn Burns and Ellie Burns; he was very excited about his first grandson that is joining our family in a few short weeks; mother: Shirley Capaci; brother: Frank Capaci; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father: Frank Capaci Sr.; brothers: Steven Capaci and Tony Capaci; and his fiancé: Jeanette Granger.
A retired Journeyman electrician and current entrepreneur, Brian always believed in the power of hard work and determination. He was a man who never shied away from a challenge and was always eager to learn something new. Throughout his career, he demonstrated a strong work ethic and a passion for helping others, qualities that he instilled in his children and those around him.
Brian was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) and an active participant in many other associations. His involvement in these organizations allowed him to connect with others, share his expertise, and give back to his community.
Outside of work, Brian's interests were as diverse as his personality. He was an avid sports fan, always cheering on his beloved Chicago Blackhawks and Chicago Bears. Brian also loved being on the water and boating, finding peace and tranquility in the gentle rocking of the waves. His adventurous spirit led him to enjoy snowmobiling and anything else fast, like racing. He was always up for a new adventure and encouraged those around him to embrace the excitement of life.
Known for his humor and wit, Brian never failed to bring laughter and joy to any gathering. Whether it was belting out tunes during karaoke nights or sharing his latest funny story, he had a natural ability to light up a room and draw people in with his infectious laughter.
Brian's faith was a cornerstone of his life, guiding him through the highs and lows that life inevitably brings. He was a shining example of living life with purpose, love, and a strong belief in a higher power. As Helen Keller once said, "Faith is the strength by which a shattered world shall emerge into the light." Brian's unwavering faith was a testament to this, providing him with the strength and courage to face any challenge that came his way.
Loving, adventurous, and faith-filled – these are the words that best describe Brian Allen Capaci. He was a man who lived life to the fullest and inspired others to do the same. His legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of all who were fortunate enough to know him, and his memory will continue to be a source of strength and motivation for years to come.
In the words of the great Ralph Waldo Emerson, "Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail." Brian certainly left a trail of love, laughter, and inspiration that will never be forgotten. May we all strive to live our lives with the same passion, determination, and faith that Brian exemplified throughout his time on earth.
Brian's Visitation will be held at Justen Funeral Home & Crematory 3700 Charles J Miller Road McHenry IL 60050 on Tues April 25, 2023, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and then it will resume the following day at 10 a.m. with a service to follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Two years and the pain is still so real. Your absence here on earth is so evident. I miss your check-ins, your birthday wishes, your goofiness, and just knowing you were still here. I pray that you and Jeanette are dancing in heaven on this day you were called home. I'll be missing you for always!

I will always remember Brian for many, many reasons, but his smile and laugh is something I will never forget. He lit up any room he entered. Missing him so much on this first anniversary of his passing. Sending my love to heaven today.
