On August 15 1959 Francis and Della Chase welcomed their 3rd of 6 children and second son Brian Matthew Chase. Brian was born and raised in Washington DC and attended St. Benedict the Moor School K-8 and then attended Mackin High School where he graduated in 1978. Brian went on to attend Florida A and M for 1 year. He came back home and was employed as a manager of a parking facility. Brian and his then girlfriend Catreeda Lloyd welcomed Brian Chase Jr. In October 1981. Two years later he fathered another son Jared. Brian along with his parents relocated to the Pacific Northwest and settled in the town of Yelm WA in 1989.
Brian and his wife Yvonne married in January of 1990 and have been estranged for more than 20 years. Brian and Patrice Fortune' met in 1995 and were together for about 10 years. Brian was a father figure in the lives of Patrice's sons Donshae' and Divontae'. Although Brian and Patrice went their own way, they kept in touch and remained close. Brian remained a Father figure to Donshae' and Divontae' until Brian's passing. Brian continued to work in the janitorial maintenance field until he was rendered disabled. Brian is survived by wife Yvonne Chase, sons Brian Chase Jr. and Jared. Rachel Michelle Chase Durant (sister and wife of Thomas "Bo" Durant Deceased), Francis Andrew Chase Jr. (brother), Karen Felicia Chase (sister), David Andre Chase (brother), Timothy Phillip Chase (brother), Dolores Serpas-Rodriguez (sister in- law), Laila Chase (granddaughter), Jalen Chase (grandson). Nieces Dana, Rachel Elaine, (Betsy wife), Monica, Terra-Bo. Nephews Keith, Deonte, Anthony, Javier (Kelsey wife) Grafton Brown nephew in law niece Christine Renee Brown (Deceased). Stepsons Donshae' Coleman and Divontae' Fortune'. Step grandchildren - La'Shae Coleman and Taedyn Fortune'. Brian is preceded in death by Francis Andrew Chase Sr. and Della Mae Chase (parents), Christine Renee Brown (niece), and Thomas "Bo" Durant. (brother in law).
