Brian Clarke Obituary

Brian Clarke, 69, of Ocean Isle Beach, NC, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2025.
Born on November 13, 1955, in Westfield, NJ, Brian lived a full and vibrant life. After graduating from Westfield High School in 1973, he went on to earn his Bachelor's degree from Providence College and a Master's in Public Administration from Suffolk University. He spent much of his professional life in the health insurance field, where his intelligence, integrity, and people-centered approach earned the respect of all.
Brian spent the past six years in Ocean Isle Beach, NC after moving from Rhode Island, where he had made many cherished friends and memories. No matter where he lived, Brian's love of the ocean and the beach-whether in New Jersey, Rhode Island, North Carolina, or while traveling-remained a source of peace and happiness.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Diane, and his parents, George and Joan Clarke. He is survived by his sisters Sharon and Donna (and her husband John); his brothers Billy, Dicky, and Mike (and his wife Susan); his stepchildren Adam and Bethany; his sister-in-law Beth (and her husband Ken); his stepsisters Kelly and Kathy, his stepbrothers Keith and Kevin, his stepmother Mary, and his 16 nieces and nephews, who adored their Uncle Brian.
Brian was known and loved for his quick wit, sense of humor, generous heart, and outgoing spirit. He had a way of making everyone feel welcome, from lifelong friends to strangers he had just met. His warmth and kindness left a lasting mark on all who knew him.
Dates and locations for celebrations of life will be announced shortly. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Brian's memory to the ASPCA, honoring his love of animals.

Earlier today

Great memories grown up in manor park. We had so much fun being kids grown up there. Playing wiffle ball on the corner lot. Playing ice hockey on your father's driveway. Like , I said , manor park was the greatest place to grow up. Memories of a lifetime. Rest and peace my old friend.

Yesterday

I was just telling my grandson YESTERDAY about Brian and I seeing The Kinks at a club in Rhode Island. I think of Brian often also because I bought my first car from him. He was in my brother Chucks class but he was a great friend. Rest in Peace Brian.

So many laughs on the beach or with the kids in the pool and when you and Aunty always had the amazing Thanksgiving Dinner. Thank you for being her final true love. She was so happy with you! xo

Brian was one of our favorite cousins. We had so many great times growing up in Westfield and playing all kinds of sports on "the lot" at our grandparents house . Then reconnecting and visiting him in RI and over the past few years in NC when we'd vacation in N Myrtle Beach. Brian will be sorely missed.
