Brian Keith Consbrock, 61, of Memphis, MO, passed away Monday, April 28, 2025. The son of Richard and Norma (Hoenig) Consbrock he was born June 14, 1963 in San Diego, CA. Due to Richard being in the United States Navy the family relocated often.
Brian would talk often about New Porte, Rhode Island, Richard playing taps at Arlington Cemetery in the middle of the winter with the family and the trumpet sticking out the window. Brian and his family moved to Burlington, IA and finally the family settling at Danville, IA where Brian graduated high school in 1982.
He started working for a farmer that was a neighbor and that was the start of his love for farming. Brian met Emily Shelley in 1982 and they got married January 12, 1985. They would relocate to Valmeyer, IL and Columbia, IL for the next four years before settling in Memphis on the Shelley family farm. Within this time, two children were born: Rebecca and Chad.
Brian was a volunteer fireman for 22 years. In his spare time when he wasn't farming, he would go hand fishing for flathead catfish, set bank poles, and deer hunt. in the winter, he would re-store antique tractors, vehicles, a semi, and even an old antique gas pump, or whatever someone would drop off for him to fix or restore. He loved a challenge in fixing things.
He is survived by his wife: Emily of 40 years;a daughter: Rebecca (Brandon) Dorman; a son: Chad (Staci) Consbrock, granddaughters: Emersyn, and Madisyn Consbrock; his mother: Norma Consbrock; his brother: Jim (Tina) Consbrock; and an uncle: Jim Nichols along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Brian was preceded in death by his father, Richard, grandparents, Robert and Dorothy Consbrock, Martin and Vera Hoenig a brother, Allen Consbrock, a sister, Kara Consbrock and his aunt, Vicki Nichols.
Memorials in lieu of flowers are to the Scotland Co. Fire Dept. and may be left at or mailed to the Payne Funeral Chapel, 202 E. Madison St., Memphis, Missouri 63555.
A Celebration of life in the form of a Memorial service for Brian Keith Consbrock, 61, of rural Memphis, MO who will be held Saturday afternoon, May 24, 2025, at the Payne Funeral Chapel in Memphis at 3:00 P.M. There will be a time of sharing where the family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service at 3:00 P.M. at Payne's
