Brian Scott Crist, 57 of Zanesville died peacefully at 9:38 AM Tuesday, June 10, 2025 under hospice care at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born September 18, 1967 in Zanesville, Ohio the son of the late Carl Franklin Crist and Deborah Rapp Crist.

Brian was a member of Westwood Baptist and graduated from Zanesville High School class of 1985. He was a member of the bricklayer's union and helped build many schools and other buildings in the area. Brian graduated from Zane State College, receiving his associates in alternative energy and worked as a mechanic in maintenance at Kraft Foods for the past 10 years. He enjoyed running, deer hunting, shooting, and bullshitting. Brian was an avid eater of hamburgers, deer burgers and more. He was the best "Popper-Inner" around, mostly enjoyed spending time with his friends and family and traveling to Norway to see his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Crist; two children, Emily (Petter) Larsen and Chelsea (Travis) Stilwell; three grandchildren, Henry Scott Larsen, Elaine Ann Larsen and one on the way; two sisters, Cathy (Andy) Wilson and Cheri (Harry) Williams; a step-sister, Lisa (Brad) Rollings; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Thursday, June 12, 2025 at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home with burial to follow at 2:30 PM at the Kokosing Nature Preserve, 306 Gaskin Ave. Gambier Ohio 43022 with his Persimmon Tree which he nicknamed "Perci", placed on his grave.
