Brian Davis, 61, of Oglesby, passed away Monday evening 8:55pm, October 13, 2025 at home from throat cancer & treatments for. He was born in Peoples Hospital, Peru by Wm J Farley MD.
He never married and had 6 brothers & sisters, plus 2. Over the years he worked at Peterman Rent A Car, Tiki Pine Cone Restaurant, LC Nursing Home, Days Inn, RL Polk City Directories, CCP Graphics, Manpower, Robb Container, Lowell Sampson Trucking, LC Farm Supply, Utica Elevator and Zellmer Truck Lines. He loved his childhood dog Snickers.. later on pups of Judy, Buck, Rascal and Scooter with life partner Greg Stein of Ottawa moving to Oglesby in 1991. He enjoyed music of all kinds, played guitar, computer programming, sudoku, jigsaw puzzles and boat camping. Was a kind hearted soul and loved Elvis as did his mother.
Survivors include sister in law Denise Davis of Cedar Point, Jay Davis of Peru, Scott Davis of Peru, Lisamarie Davis of Grand Haven, MI and adoptees Kenny & Lori Davis living out east in Ohio; as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother Sandra (Skowronski) and father Robert "Ozzie" Davis. His siblings Craig Davis, Wanda Davis, Brad Davis.
No services or wake per his wishes and will be cremated. Arrangements are entrusted to the Shields Funeral Home, Oglesby.
