Brian Eric Derden

Brian Eric Derden returned home to be with the Lord on September 29, 2025, at the age of 55. Born on October 22, 1969, Brian grew up fishing, hunting, playing sports, and raising animals. He dedicated many years of his life to building a successful business, which allowed him to always be available and present for his children. He found great joy in supporting them at sporting events, livestock shows, recitals, and school activities. His children and grandchildren will forever remember his guidance, wisdom, and loving reassurance. He carried great expectations for them and confidence in their ability to exceed those expectations. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren, each of whom he loved dearly. Brian will be deeply missed by his son, Garrett and wife Megan Derden; his daughter, Samantha and husband Corey Mikula; his son, Nathan Derden; his daughter, Grace and husband Jeremy Robinson; and their mother, Angie Derden. He is lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Cameron, Liam, Ruth, Naomi, Oliver, Lottie, Audrey, Jace, and Nora. He is also survived by his brother, Jeffry Derden; his sister Jennifer Derden Trice and her children. He is reunited in peace with his parents, Michael and Edith Derden; his mother, Beverly Drain; and his grandparents. "We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord." -2 Corinthians 5:8 The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Monday, October 6, 2025 at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel. A celebration of Brian's life will be at 10:00am on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 also at Byrum Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Edgewood Cemetery in Lancaster.
