Brian E. Donovan Sr.

Brian E. Donovan Sr., 64, of Hatfield, passed away at home on Sunday, January 21, 2024
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Daniel A. and Eleanor E. (Kelly) Donovan.
Brian loved nature. He enjoyed varmint hunting, fishing and taking long walks with his dogs through local farmlands. Full of witty antics he made us all laugh. He had a love for singing and music that he shared with his children. Brian was a member of the North Penn Gun Club and was a skilled and knowledgeable marksman. He worked hard in his trade as a residential and commercial roofer and previously worked for nearly a decade as a commercial fisherman on the "The Arlene Snow" of Cape May NJ. Many of his boyhood summers were spent with his family down the shore.
Surviving are children Brian E. Donovan Jr, Timothy Donovan, Patrick Donovan, husband of Brandy, Julia Donovan, and Kathleen Donovan; sisters Eleanor Zeriga, wife of Peter, Cathleen Dalton, wife of the late James, Theresa Santenello; sister in-law Sally Donovan; grandchildren Aiden, Melanie, Liam, Gerald, Caroline, Raelyn, Celeste, Mary, Ellena and Alannah; and his loving partner Beth Coupe and his former wife Julia Ward Donovan. Brian had an abundance of beloved niece's and nephew and was a father figure to many. Along with his parents he is predeceased by his brothers Daniel, Timothy, and Charles Donovan and sister in-law Lila Donovan.
Visitation will be Friday, February 2 from 2:00PM to 2:45PM at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale with a memorial service to begin at 3:00PM.
