Mark William Donovan, age 70, of Rensselaer, IN, passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2025.
He was born on May 10, 1955, in Chicago Heights, IL, the son of John "Jack" and Joan (Wiseman) Donovan. Mark graduated from Rensselaer Central High School with the Class of 1973.
Over the years, Mark worked in several fields, including as a salesman at Smith's True Value in Rensselaer. He previously worked as a truck driver and as an auto parts salesman for Denny Kramer Auto Group and NAPA Auto Parts.
Mark was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #2272 and a lifetime auxiliary member of VFW Post #1279. Known for his love of speed, he had a passion for fast cars and enjoyed modifying them to make them go even faster. He was an avid NASCAR fan, especially of Dale Earnhardt, and cheered faithfully for the Green Bay Packers. In his downtime, Mark enjoyed relaxing with a good western and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his siblings: Maureen (Ken) Healey of Rensselaer, Anne (Mark) Koopman of New Haven, IN, John "Jack" (Sherri) Donovan of Rensselaer, Mary (Rick) Burke of Florence, KY, and Jane (Daryl) Yeoman of Logansport, IN; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents; infant twin brother and sister; and his fiancée, Julie Ann Osburn.
Per Mark's wishes, no services will be held. Burial will take place at St. Paul's Catholic Cemetery in New Lisbon, Wisconsin.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Rensselaer Central High School Class of 1973, c/o Frieda Bretzinger, 520 W. Grace St., Rensselaer, IN 47978; to the VFW Auxiliary Post #1279; or to the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #2272.

I'm so sorry to hear about Mark's passing. I haven't seen Mark in a long time, but remember all the fun we had at Grandma's house in Homewood especially climbing trees with Mark. All my sympathy and love,
