Brian Joseph Donovan

Brian Joseph Donovan, 72, passed away on November 27, 2025, at Avista Senior Living in Ferndale, WA. Born on November 27, 1953, at Fort Eustis, VA. beginning a life marked by curiosity, service, and a deep love for music and family.

The son of Gordon and Clarice Donovan, Brian grew up with a love for learning and hands-on work. After graduating from high school, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Following his military service, he built a long and dedicated career as a communication technician for the telephone company, where his skill, patience, and enjoyment of electronics made him a valued colleague.

Music played a defining role in Brian's life. He especially loved attending concerts and collecting Grateful Dead recordings-a passion that brought him joy, nostalgia, and lifelong memories. He also enjoyed tinkering with electronics, visiting the ocean, and appreciating the peaceful simplicity of those moments.

He is survived by his loving wife, Beverly Donovan; his son, Bryan Donovan; his daughter, Patti Werner; and his brothers Thomas Donovan and Michael Donovan; his grandsons Alexander, Levi, and Matthew Werner, Tyler Donovan; his granddaughters Daisy Werner; and Brooklynn Donovan.

He is preceded in death by his father, Gordon Donovan; his mother, Clarice Donovan; his sister, Kathy Tutty; his brother, James Donovan; and his sister, Eileen Donovan.

Service details will be shared with family and friends at a later date.

Brian will be remembered for his gentle nature, steady presence, and the warmth he brought to the lives of those who knew and loved him.
