Donna Mae Kuiken

Donna Kuiken was born in Bellingham, WA, eldest child of Clarence and Helen Bame. She lived on the family farm with siblings Dean and Diane who she remained close with throughout her life. Donna attended Meridian elementary, middle and high schools. After high school, she graduated from Multnomah Bible College. She went on to have a near 40 year career at the Georgia Pacific paper mill.

Donna had an active social life making friends everywhere she went. She loved ballroom dance and attended multiple dances in Whatcom and Skagit counties every week. She preferred country music and had an excellent two-step. She also socialized by playing cards with friends regularly at the Bellingham Senior Center.

Donna loved the sun and enjoyed travelling to Honolulu, Hawaii with family most winters.

Donna was truly a spectacular individual spreading light, love and joy wherever she went. She felt strong in her Christian faith.

She is preceded in death by her daughters, Jenny Joy and Kandi Mae, and her brother Dean Bame.

She leaves behind her partner of 23 years Norman Perri, granddaughters Ashley Kuiken and Ava Garfield, great grandson Henrik Bush, great grandcat Mercy, sister Diane (Ron) Wilson, sister in law Judy Bame, many cousins, nieces and nephews and friends.
