Nancy Kuiken, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2024. We are comforted to know that she is now in heaven and reunited with Roger, her husband of 55 years.
Nancy was born in 1933 in Owosso, Michigan and soon moved with her family to Holland where she met Roger Kuiken. She graduated from Holland High School, attended Western Michigan University, and was married soon after.
Throughout her life, Nancy was the embodiment of thoughtfulness. Her home was a welcoming haven where friends and family gathered. Nancy was very artistic and enjoyed painting and baking. The couple were members of Parkside Bible church for many years and sang in the church choir. They loved music, dancing the jitterbug, watching football, and wintering in the warmth of New Smyrna Beach, FL.
She is survived by her children: Terry Kuiken, Bryan and Dede Kuiken, Jody and Mark Johnson, and Chris and Pete Collins; grandchildren: Jason (Carla), Jenna (Kyle), Josh, Nicole (Brian), Kendra (Justin), Troy (Jess), Elan, Stefan, and Christian, as well as 11 beautiful great grand- children. A special thanks to Jerry Erickson who was an amazing friend to her for the past several years at Appledorn. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents Jim and Pauline, brother Jim, and sister Diane.
A celebration of life service will be held at Parkside Bible Church, 14461 James Street in Holland on Saturday, June 29, at 11:00 am. Lunch to follow. Nancy's legacy will live on in the kindness she showed, the faith she shared, and the love she gave unconditionally.
Memorial contributions may be made to Parkside Bible Church.
