Brian Dralle Obituary

Brian Dralle

July 7, 1955 - June 16, 2025

MOFFIT - Brian Dralle, 69, of Moffit, ND peacefully passed away on June 16, 2025.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 19, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be held at the Moffitt Cemetery.

Brian Dralle was born on July 7, 1955 in Bismarck. He was an only child born to William Russell "Red" Dralle and Anna (Gimbel) Dralle. He lived in Moffit with his parents until they moved out to the farm that he spent his life on. He attended Moffit elementary and middle school before attending and graduating from Hazelton High school in 1973. Brian attended the Schafer Heights Institute of Technology for a year studying Farm and Ranch management. In his younger years he enjoyed hanging out with his friends, going to concerts and driving his green Ford Torino Cobra.

Brian bought the farm from his parents in 1977 then proceeded to raise some small grains along with his cattle herd for the entirety of his life. Brian married Kathleen (Scherr) Dralle on May 25, 1990. They had two children together (Amanda and Ryan). Brian enjoyed every aspect of the ranching life. He especially liked feeding cows during the winter with his trusty John Deere 4240 and baling hay in the summers. Brian also enjoyed watching his son continue working on the farm. He loved spending time with his grandkids, whether it was sharing his peanuts and watching old fashioned cartoons with Beckett, letting Kinley and Kooper raid his spare change vase. Brian always chuckled when he was eating food around Lincoln because Lincoln would stare at him and beg for a taste. Most mornings were spent giving his dog Kobe a ride along in the pickup or 4-wheeler. Brian enjoyed visiting with his friends and neighbors either under his "beer tree" in his yard or at The Bucket in Moffit while drinking his Busch beer.

Brian is survived by his wife, Kathleen; two children, Amanda (Beau) Maxon, of Mandan and Ryan (Breanna) Dralle, of Bismarck and five grandchildren, Kinley Maxon, Kooper Maxon, Beckett Dralle, Lincoln Dralle, and baby Maxon due in October 2025.

He was preceded in death by his two parents, Red in June 1992 and Ann in February 1999.

My condolences to Kathy and family. I didn't know Brian well but Kathy and I went all the way through elementary and high school together and have kept in touch over the years. You are in our thoughts and prayers at this time.
