Brian D. Durbin

Brian D. Durbin, age 67, of Canal Fulton and formerly of Bolivar, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, in Chapel Hill Community at Canal Fulton.

A son of the late Wesley G. and Sophia C. (Owens) Durbin, Brian was born on November 9, 1958, at Dover, Ohio.

Brian graduated from Stark State. He enjoyed a 30-year career with Doctors Hospital then Affinity Health Center at Massillon. In his free-time he enjoyed woodworking, HO Model Trains, and gardening. He grew-up on a small farm and always loved working outside. His dream job would have been outside working with his hands.

He is survived by his significant other, Kimberly Bakes of Canal Fulton, her children, Jared (Tatumn) and Juliana Bakes; sister, Brenda (Darrell) James of Bolivar; brother, Bruce (Deborah) Durbin of Bolivar; sister, Bonnie (Troy) Link of Bolivar; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Brian was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover. A funeral service celebrating Brian’s life will follow at 12:00 PM in the funeral home with his brother-in-law, Troy Link officiating. Burial will follow in Ft. Laurens Cemetery at Bolivar.
