He was born in Newton, Kansas, lived in Emmett, Kansas throughout his childhood and graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1987.
Brian loved the outdoors and sports. He loved to hunt and fish with his friends and then bring it all home to mom to clean and cook. He was a natural athlete and enjoyed all sports.
After high school he spent some time as a ski bum in the beautiful state of Montana. He then signed up for the Navy and spent two years serving his country. He then returned home to pursue his love of golf and spent a few years as a club pro at different courses.
He eventually found himself working construction and had a great knack for tools and fixing just about anything. He worked for different companies in different areas but truly preferred being his own boss. Probably mostly so he didn’t have to be told what to do.
Brian had many struggles but loved his family and friends the very best way he knew how through it all. He never met a stranger and was never afraid to lend a hand to anyone in need. His closest people will always remember that about him.
He is survived by his son, Jeffrey Eshom, his sister, Rhonda Zimlich and her husband Todd and his sister Michelle Zeller. He also leaves behind two grandsons and many nieces and nephews.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Don and Pam Eshom. His brother Dean Eshom and his nephew Cooper Zeller. There will be a graveside service on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at 3:30 at Westlawn Cemetery for anyone who would like to attend.
