Brian Elliott Glathar, Sr. Age 68 of Carter Lake, Iowa passed away June 17, 2024 in Omaha, Nebraska. He was born on February 15, 1956 in Omaha, Nebraska to Clifford and Marilyn (McIntosh) Glathar. He graduated in 1976 from South High School in Omaha, NE. Brian married Kathy Wilson on August 3, 1974 at the Carter Lake Presbyterian Church in Carter Lake, Iowa. He was a mechanic by trade and he retired from TriMark as a warehouse associate. In his spare time Brian liked to do fireworks with J and M displays, volunteering with the Carter Lake volunteer fire department. He could be found tinkering in the garage, taking care of people in the community and spending time with friends and family.

Brian was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Bill Shahan; grandson, Darrell; brothers, Kevin and Jeff Glathar and mother-in-law, Shirley Wilson.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years Kathy; son, Brian, Jr. and wife Alison Glathar; daughter, Nickol Driscoll; grandchildren, Brianna, Nadia, Damian, Navaeh and Vincent; sister, Cheryl Glathar; father-in-law, Carl Wilson and other family and friends.

A Celebration of his life will be 10:30 AM Saturday, August 3, 2024 at CARTER LAKE CITY HALL 950 E Locust St, Carter Lake, IA  51510

Inurnment will be at a later date at Westlawn/Hillcrest Cemetery.
