Publish in a newspaper

Brian Golsby, age 12, passed away on November 11, 2025, at Cincinnati Children's Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. Born on July 16, 2013, in Independence, Kentucky, Brian brought light and laughter into the lives of all who knew him.
A student at Summit View Middle School, Brian was known for his boundless curiosity and infectious energy. He had a question for just about everything and approached life with an open heart and a vibrant spirit. Whether he was outside playing with friends or spending time with his siblings, Brian radiated joy and warmth. He had a special way of making everyone feel loved-his caring nature was evident in every hug, every laugh, and every moment he shared.
Brian had a deep love for music-it was the soundtrack to his life. He could often be found listening to his favorite songs, dancing around the house or simply letting the melodies carry him away. He also enjoyed making crafts, watching YouTube videos, and embracing his playful side with a bit of harmless chaos that always came from a place of fun. His sense of humor was unmatched; he could make anyone laugh without even trying.
Despite living with severe asthma since birth, Brian faced each day with courage and resilience. On the night of November 6th, he experienced serious breathing difficulties. While en route to receive medical care, he went into cardiac arrest due to lack of oxygen. He was transported to Cincinnati Children's Hospital where he received compassionate care until his passing.
Brian leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory: his mother Ashley Kemen; his father Patrick Golsby Sr.; his grandfather Jeremy Lillie; his aunt Latisha Parson; his siblings Camren Colley, Ke'Mara Kemen, and Patrick Golsby Jr.; his cousins Breonna Parson, Keonna Parson, Eric Parson, and Christopher Parson Jr.; and niece Na'Vali Colley.
He is now reunited with those who passed before him: his grandmother Sandy Lillie and Pamela Kemen; great-grandparents Nancy and Maurice Vogel; and uncle Christopher Parson Sr.
Brian's presence was larger than life-he brought good vibes wherever he went and truly was the life of the party. Though his time here was far too short, the impact he made will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
May Brian's memory bring comfort to those who loved him and may his joyful spirit continue to shine through their lives. A Service will be held on November 17, 2025, at 10:00 AM to 12pm at Don Catchen Family Funeral Home 3525 Dixie Hwy. His favorite color was blue, If anyone wanted to wear that to his service. Bring white/clear or blue balloons to release at the cemetery, also if you would like to leave flowers, It would be appreciated. The burial will be followed right after this at noon.

What a wonderful tribute to such a cute, young man. What a heart break; it is a mystery why he had to leave this earth so young. I didn't know him but the tribute that was written was so loving and well written. I am sorry for what you must be going through.
