Brian Leon Haney was born July 17, 1943, in Trayer, Iowa, and passed away in his home, September 5, 2025. He is preceded in death by: his parents, Luther and Carrie Haney; one brother, Wayne Haney, and a sister Barbara Ford; and daughter, Lisa Fedurchuk. His passing is mourned by: his son, James and daughter-in-law, Ashley; his son, John, and daughter-in-love, Katherine Walls; grandchildren, Gage and Claire; a brother, Robert, and sister-in-law Jeanne; brother-in-law, Ed Ford; and many nephews and nieces.
A graduate of Mammoth Spring High School and Finlay Engineering College, Brian joined the US Army serving in France and Germany. He later worked as a department of defense contractor in Shemya, Alaska, Diyarbakir, Turkey, and a site in Saudi Arabia. The final third of his career was with the Harris Corporation installing and maintaining large printing presses around the world. He retired in 2009 to his farm west of Thayer.
Graveside services will be 2pm Thursday, September 11, 2025, at the Shiloh-Grand Gulf Cemetery in Thayer, MO, with Bro. Bill Ford officiating. Visitation will be 6pm-8pm Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at the Clary Funeral Home in Thayer, MO.
