Brian C. Harrell, 59, of Kinston, passed away on February 25, 2025.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 2nd, 2025, 3PM, at Edwards Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Brian was a loving husband and father and deeply loved Christy and Courtney with all his heart. He was very proud of Courtney and all that she had accomplished in her life. Courtney was a daddy's girl, and he was very supportive in all she endeavored to do. Brian grew up surrounded by a large and close-knit family that he deeply loved. When Brian and Christy got married, he became part of another loving family. Brian was an avid Elvis fan and would on occasion sing and imitate signature Elvis moves. Honoring Brian's generous wish, the gift of life was shared with many people in need through organ and tissue donation. He enjoyed spending time watching TV and hanging out with family, including his special furry companions, Jax and Skylar. He also enjoyed spending time with his friend Harry and would often stop by Harry's store just to visit.
Brian is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Christy Vause Harrell; and his daughter Courtney Harrell of Wilmington. He is also survived by his father, Jesse Parrish; sisters, Juanita "Nita" Harrell, Dare Howard and husband Duane; brothers, Cecil Harrell and wife Teresa, Timmy Harrell and wife Carollee, Jesse "Raymond" Parrish, Jr. and wife Rhonda of Fort Barnwell, Donald Parrish and wife Cheryl, Ben Parrish and wife Morgan; very special father-in-law, Terry Vause of the home; brothers-in-law, Brian Vause and Jon Vause; along with several nieces and nephews.
Brian is proceeded in death by his mother Gretel Odessa "Debbie" Parrish and mother-in-law Catherine Vause.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Southwest Christian Church, 890 Neuse Road, Kinston, NC 28501.
