Brian David Hockenberger, 52, passed away unexpectedly on October 17, 2025.
Brian was born in Canton, OH, on August 25, 1973. He joined the army at the age of 18 and worked as a mechanic. He was also the guidon bearer for his platoon. He was very proud of his service to his country. Brian applied what he learned in the army to his every day life.
In 1995 he met the woman he was to marry here in NY. Brian boasts as soon as he saw Marina, he knew he would marry her, and he did on August 22, 2009. If you ask anyone, they will tell you what a proud, dedicated and loving husband he was and if you ask Marina, he was the best husband ever. He was also a very proud kitty daddy. His other favorite role was “The REAL uncle Brian” and cherished spending time with his nephews, John, Justin and Anthony and his nieces, Cece and Emma.
Brian became a master plumber and worked in his field for over 20 years, most recently at Crisafulli Brothers. He not only created a brotherhood in the army, but also with his fellow tradesman. He was a Master plumber, Master husband, Master son in law, Master brother in law, Master uncle and a Master in the kitchen. Anyone who knows him knows how much he loved Samsung, and despised Apple. Not only was Brian an encyclopedia of knowledge, he most recently became a volunteer at Whispering Willow Wild Care, where he built a special bond with their falcon, Ivory Rose.
Brian is survived by his loving wife Marina; parents, Paul and Joyce; mother in law, Suzanne Mucci; siblings, Kevin and Robert; sister in law, Dianne Grant (Douglas); brother in law, Pat Mucci (Bibi); sister in law, Alie Mucci; and many nieces and nephews.
