BRIAN IDZIK Obituary
Wyandotte Hospital in Wyandotte, MI.
Born December 9, 1951, in Greensburg, PA to Joseph John and Elizabeth Jean (Diethorn) Idzik. He retired as a MSgt Security Squadron linguist from the United States Air Force in 1993 and as a Systems Programmer lll for the State of Alaska, DOT & PF, in 2015. He was a member of St Paul's Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, St Paul's music ministry, the US Coast Guard Auxiliary, Parkinson's Support Group of Juneau and Dipsticks Classic Car Club.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Helen (Fischer) Idzik; sisters Cathy (Pete) Belcher of Carlisle, PA and Anne (Joe) Riestenberg of Mason, OH; his brother Joe (Amy) Gibson of Springfield, OH; aunt Rosemary Kindelan of Jeannette, PA; sister in-law, Marilyn Golema and partner Thomas Jim Shannon of Wyandotte, MI; brother in-laws Ken Newton of Azle, TX and Don Fischer of Hastings, NE; his constant companion; Princess; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by his grand-parents, parents, step-mother Patricia (Kindelan) Idzik; brother James "Jimmy" Gibson of Cincinnati, OH; sister in-law Shirley Newton of Azle, TX; brother in-law Charles Fischer of Omaha, NE and fallen comrades of 6985'th Security Squadron.
Cremation handled by Molnar Funeral Home of Wyandotte, MI.
A Catholic Mass will be held July 3 at St Paul's Catholic Church at 2 pm,
with internment at The Shrine of St Therese, Juneau, AK at a later date.
