Brian Keith Karlson

Brian Keith Karlson, age 66, of Sioux Falls, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at the Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at the East Nidaros Lutheran Church, rural Baltic. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 PM Monday, at the church. The family requests that attendees at the visitation and funeral wear casual attire or their favorite Harley Davidson or Nascar apparel.
Brian was born on July 23, 1957, in Sioux Falls to Donald and Lydina (Scott) Karlson. He grew up in Sioux Falls and attended school at South Sioux Elementary, Edison Junior High, and Washington High School. He met Debra Johnson of Baltic when both were working at Carousel Skate in Sioux Falls. On January 2, 1982, they were married at East Nidaros Lutheran Church. Brian worked as a truck driver all his life. He worked for several companies including Midwest Coast, Terrace Park, Lakeside, Bibbs, MCA, Hoovestol, and Ten Roads Express.
Brian loved riding his Harley Davidson and going to Sturgis. He also enjoyed watching professional wrestling and Nascar.
Survivors include his wife, Deb, Sioux Falls; daughters: Kari (Doug Sibson) Karlson, Sioux Falls, and Laura (Bryan) Parker, Sioux Falls; grandson, Henry Parker, Sioux Falls; sisters: Donna (Ellison) Brtna, Sioux Falls, and Francis Karlson, Sioux Falls; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Donald Jr and Kevin Karlson; and half siblings, Ronald Big Man and Darlene Overacker.
