Brian was my neighbor for about 19 years and was always friendly and had a smile on his face. I'd always see him either grilling or out fishing or just working on things outside. I recently moved to Lakeland and got married and was sad to hear of his passing. I'll always remember his kindness and how he would often mow our yard on top of his own and always was so generous bringing us some of his smoked turkey on thanksgiving or even making us a whole turkey dinner. I was very shy and never spoke to him much but he would conversate with my dad often and I'm certain he saw me sneak out of my house as a teenager at least once lol. He was a good man and will be missed!

Brian was such a wonderful man inside and out. The love and joy he endured for his family and friends could never be measured. We met June of '84 at the old BoilerRoom. He brought joy into my life with his two sons Tommy & Korie. We shared a lot of our time; with both our families during Christmas/Thanksgiving at Grandpa Keene's house watching football and playing pool. In 1998 we were blessed with our first child Michael, then in 1989 blessed with our first girl Alisha Keene. We parted for a few years and got back together in 1998, Brian adopted Ashley as his own. From there nothing but great memories transpired.. From taking Tommy turkey dinner to his work to enjoy with his customers; to church with Joanne & Richard for worship and praise, bowling for Michael's Sunday little league, and Ashley and Alisha's Soccer games. Weekend family gatherings with Korie, Priscilla and grandkids. Palma Sola Causeway with friends and sideline cookouts. Football Sunday's at the house with family and friends. Brooks Griffins was always an amazing friend to Brian and thank you for always being the best godfather to our Children and Family. In 2008 Brian and I parted; He met his love/High-school Sweetheart Diane who he married in 2009. I WILL ALWAYS & FOREVER MISS & LOVE YOU BRIAN KEENE.

Our family grew up in the same general neighborhood with Brian. My brothers Wayde, Earl, and I waked to Bethel Church on Sundays and have lots of great memories. We went on to go to the same schools, and went to Manatee High School with Brian. He was an awesome athlete and was a stand out on the football team. My sister Lynn and I just saw Brian at our high school reunion for the class of 1976. What a lovely person. You will be missed!!!
