Brian Keith Keiser, age 61, of Lake Norden (formerly of Watertown) passed away Thursday, December 21st at Prairie Lakes Hospital after a 7 year battle with cancer.
Memorial Services will be 10:30 am, Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer in Watertown with Pastor Dan Overbo officiating.
Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 pm, Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at Wight & Comes Funeral Chapel in Watertown.
Honorary Urnbearers will be Doug Brage, Doug Riley, Monty Waite, Todd Jacobson, Joe Jellis, and Frank Johnson.
In true Brian fashion & to grant his wishes, please dress in casual clothing.
His ashes will be spread in his favorite hunting spot as he has always wished for.
Brian Keith Keiser was born on April 14, 1962 in Watertown, SD to Vivian Keith and Dwaine Keiser. He attended and graduated from Watertown High School in 1980. He went to Lake Area Vo Tech for Drafting. Shortly after, he started working for Municipal Utilities in the Warehouse. Then he worked in the Water Department for 17 years before returning back to the Warehouse. He retired due to health reasons in 2019 after 35 years with Municipal Utilities.
Brian married Pam (Sass) Reilly on September 17, 1993 where he gained two step daughters Krysia and Kelly. To this union, one daughter, Ashley was born.
Brian loved hunting geese and turkeys the most. He loved annual spring camping trips to Sisseton to hunt turkeys with family and friends. He enjoyed watching and participating in sports, especially the Watertown Arrows Wrestling Team. He especially loved the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed playing cards at the Johnson house with his "second father" Darrell Johnson.
Brian is survived by his wife Pam of Lake Norden, SD; children, Krysia Reilly of Yankton, SD, Kelly Tyree (Rich Knowlton) of Cheyenne, WY, and Ashley (Jordan) Hurt of Lake Norden, SD; grandchildren Treighton Reilly, Olivia Fisher, Averyl Fisher, Gunnar Fields, Jersey Tyree, Alyse Reilly, Teagan Hurt, and Porter Hurt; three sisters; his cat "Baby"; and special family friend, Darrell Johnson.
He is preceded in death by his parents; father and mother in law, Rita Beck (sister in law), Gerry Sheridan (brother in law), and Erick Wientjes (nephew).
