Brian Ray Langner, lovingly known as “Uncle B”, passed away peacefully at home on February 20, 2026 at the age of 73. The first born of Donald & Sharon on August 28, 1952, in San Pedro, California and raised in Weyauwega, Wisconsin.
Brian married the love of his life Lou Ann, in the winter of 1972 and they spent 53 incredible years together. They built a beautiful life and family that grew to include their three children: Carrie, Angie, and Nicholas. Over the years, their family expanded with the addition of two sons-in-law, Mike and Ron, a soon-to-be daughter-in-law, Michelle, and four cherished grandchildren: Bryce, Caleb, Greyson, and Stella. Brian’s pride in his family was evident to all who knew him. He was known for his warmest hugs and unwavering support for his children and grandchildren.
Brian is also survived by his siblings: Lynette (Mark), Lisa (Mark), Kyle, Roseanna (Andy), Diana, Cheryl, Alan (Julie), and Jerry. He was a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews who affectionately called him “Uncle B”. His extended family brought him immense joy throughout his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Donald and Sharon, his mother-in-love Beverly, fathers-in-law Gerald and Earl, his brother Kevin, brothers-in-law Gary and Loren, granddaughter Alesha, niece Madeline, and nephew Manning. All of whom are loved and missed dearly.
A dedicated professional with over 40 years as a switchgear technician at General Electric, Brian was renowned for his expertise in tackling challenging jobs on legacy equipment. As the go-to emergency technician for difficult long-distance assignments, he earned respect for his skill and determination. There wasn’t a challenge he wasn’t up for - a testament to his resourcefulness and work ethic.
Outside of work, Brian’s talents extended far beyond his career. A true “human Swiss Army knife,” he was a caretaker, fixer, electrician, inventor - always ready to lend a hand or solve a problem. He took great pride in the home he built with Lou Ann for their family - a lasting symbol of his dedication and love. Brian had an adventurous spirit that shone through in his hobbies. He enjoyed car shows and seeing live music with friends, boating, waterskiing, whale watching, and simply “hanging loose.” His annual trips to Maui with Lou were among his most treasured traditions. The most epic being their vow renewal in 2012. These trips were filled with laughter and relaxation - moments that reflected the deep bond they shared. Known for his humor and wit as much as for his loyalty and kindness, Brian never met a stranger. His ability to connect with people made him a friend to many. Those who knew him will remember not only his quick humor but also the way he made everyone feel welcome.
Brian’s legacy is one of love - love for his family and the woodland critters outside of his window. His memory will live on in the hearts of humans and animals alike, those who were fortunate enough to know him. A memorial gathering will be held on February 26, 2026, from 1-4 pm at Stahl Celebration & Remembrance Center W7452 Hwy 21 Wautoma, WI. We will be greeting family and friends with aloha from 1-3 pm and then follow with a short service to share memories and love of our most wonderful Dad. May Brian’s memory bring comfort to all who loved him as they celebrate a life well- lived.
